As was the case for many fans of Brazilian music, the first songs to catch his North American ear were Desafinado and The Girl from Ipanema.  Rick soon began adding Sergio Mendes and Astrud Gilberto albums to his collection.  Today his music library spans tens of thousands of songs by artists of every genre, with too many Brazilian tunes to count (though for Notes from Brazil he's tried!)

Rick Robinson is a former Billboard Air Personality of the Year and has received numerous awards from MARS, Radio & Production and the Associated Press.  His voice is heard on commercials nationwide and he hosts other radio shows and specials including CrossWords.

Along with Notes from Brazil, his current Memphis projects include co-producing a ninth musical comedy album with impressionist Paul Shanklin of the Rush Limbaugh show, as well as recording a tribute album to Antonio Carlos Jobim.
